Welcome to the South West Wales Economic Forum's website.
The Forum was established in 1997. Its aim is to promote the economic growth and development of South West Wales. It is a vehicle for co-ordinating and promoting action on issues of agreed regional importance, undertaking research into regional economic issues and liaising with government and other agencies.
The Forum covers Carmarthenshire, Neath Port Talbot, Pembrokeshire and Swansea. It consist of delegates from seventeen organisations representing the businesss, local government, higher education and voluntary sectors.
The Forum has adopted The South West Wales Regional Economic Framework - the Creative Region as the basis for collaborative working in the region. It has been an active participant in a European network of regional economic and social councils in the Atlantic Area.
